Nuance platform to power AT&T's Voicemail-to-Text Service

abstract: Burlington, Mass.-based speech and imaging solutions provider Nuance Communications, Inc. has announced that AT&T has selected Nuance’s Voicemail to Text platform. AT&T launched its Voicemail to Text service for $9.99 a month. The service converts English and Spanish language wireless voicemail messages to text and delivers them via SMS, e-mail or both. Subscribers enjoy a great deal of convenience and flexibility in accessing, filing and replying to mobile voicemail. “Our service was built with carriers like AT&T and their subscribers in mind – an incredibly reliable and scalable voicemail to text infrastructure, and a valuable and easy-to-use service for mobile consumers,” said Michael Thompson, senior vice president, Nuance Mobile.
