Human Factors and User Acceptability

definition: The widespread acceptance of speech and language technologies is not only dependent on the technical capabilities of the LT components, but also on the usability and user-friendliness of the overall application. Human factors play a key role in the design of interactive systems, such as dictation systems, spoken dialogue applications, and multi-modal communicators. In order to increase user acceptance, usability design and usability evaluation should be taken into account right from the start of an interactive systems project.
