Geeking with Greg
author: Greg Linden
"From 2008 to 2009, I was at Microsoft Live Labs, working with big data and treating web search and advertising as a recommender problem. From 2004 to 2007, I founded and ran Findory.com, a startup that was best known for recommending a personalized front page of news based on what articles you read in the past. From 1997 to 2002, I was at Amazon.com where I wrote the recommendation engine used by Amazon.com and later led the software team that developed Amazon's personalization. I have Master's degrees in business and computer science from Stanford and University of Washington."
