description: TiMBL is a machine learning software package implementing a family of Memory-Based Learning techniques for discrete data. TiMBL stores a representation of the training set explicitly in memory (hence Memory Based), and classifies new cases by extrapolating from the most similar stored cases. The software is optimized for fast and accurate classification in discrete domains with large numbers of examples, as typically found in NLP datasets.
